Graeme van der Watt
Biography
I was diagnosed with ADHD in grade two and began a course of prescribed ADHD medication that got me through high school. I found that I had an established pattern; I did well in the classes that interested me and struggled with those I did not. After matric I took a gap year to consider my future and my career options. During this time I stopped taking my medication because I had been advised that I would grow out of my ADHD and wouldn’t need the medication as an adult.
When I did my undergraduate degree in architecture, I found that I repeated my pattern of doing well with subjects that engaged me and struggled with those that didn’t. Although I achieved the degree without medication it took me two years longer than it should have. It was only as I was working on my honors and masters I realised that,
even though I was working extremely long hours and understood the material, I was missing deadlines and falling behind my classmates. In seeking help I found Dr Jeeva and with his advice I was able to resume medication and achieve the academic results that my hard work merited.
Dr Jeeva educated me on the differences between adult and child ADHD and not only worked with me to find the right medication regimen for me, but also referred me to The School of Life to help me gain the life skills I needed to graduate with my masters degree in Architecture, specialising in the design of educational spaces for children with ADHD and autism (ASD). In my professional life I have discovered that while I still love all aspects of design, my true passion is in education and helping people (with and without ADHD) to find practical solutions to navigate the modern work environment, whether that be at home, in school or in the office. I believe that with the right tools and motivation everyone has the power to excel.

Heather Robertson
Biography
I am a wife of one and a mother of two amazing men who keep me grounded while I am navigating my personal journey through life. From my earliest memory I have been deeply interested in life lessons. Wisdom is gained from the ability to experience, whatever my circumstances are, as lessons to prepare me for all that is to come. My pursuit of this growth mindset is my significant reason for becoming a life coach practitioner.
If I write this without my philosophical cap on, it would read like this:
I am a mother of two boys that have both contributed to my grey hair and early ageing, that I love so deeply it hurts when I don’t like them. I am a wife of a man that I can truly trust, a man that is not perfect and is not my knight in shining armour. He is my rock, no matter what, and I want to grow old with him. I am a woman who has been hurt and who has healed, I have experienced trauma, I have failed and overcome, I have lived a dream and a nightmare, I’m always proud to learn and grow. I love people enough to respect and care about their journeys and it is a privilege to be trusted to share in theirs.
