Learning how to set boundaries is crucial for owning, respecting, and loving yourself. Setting boundaries allows you to define yourself in a healthy way, fostering self-awareness and self-worth. Each of us has different types of boundaries—physical, emotional, intellectual, time-related, and more—and how these boundaries are respected by others can either be a choice or a violation. Controlling these boundaries involves deciding how to allow people into our personal space without it feeling invasive or disrespectful.
