Self-Regulation

Self-regulation, in the most basic sense, involves controlling one’s thoughts, emotions, and behaviors in a manner that is acceptable and produces positive results. Good self-regulation improves our well-being and enhances our understanding of both our own emotions and those of others, leading to more loving relationships. We can learn to regulate emotions like frustration or excitement, control our impulses, and focus on tasks.
